Topic: Training Middle School Sprinters & Hurdlers

Coach. Ehlert has been teaching physical education and health in the Geneseo School district for ten years.  He is also coaching the middle school boys and girls cross country program and is Director of Athletics for cross country and track and field at Geneseo Middle School.

Coach. Ehlert has a Level One USATF Coaching Certification, through USA Track and Field, and has earned a certification in Movement Analysis Performance System (MAPS) from the Gray Institute.  Coach Ehlert also has Certification in Applied Functional Science (CAFS) also through the Gray Institute.

Before coming to the Geneseo School district for teaching, Mr. Ehlert worked for Hammond Henry Hospital as the certified athletic trainer for the Geneseo School district for three years.  He also worked as a strength and conditioning coach with a program called The Summit.  During this time he earned his Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) national certification through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).
