Brian Dzingai | SPRINTS | NOTES
Brian Dzingai is a multi-All American that initially attended Truman State University before transferring to Florida State University in his junior year. He competed in both the Athens ’04 and Beijing ’08 Olympics for his native home of Zimbabwe. He participated in the ’03, 05, ’07, and ’09 World Championships and was consistently ranked in the top 20 globally for the 200m dash
Despite only standing at 5 ft 6, he placed 4th in the Beijing ’08 Olympic 200m final where Usain Bolt broke the long standing world record. He also finished the year ranked 3rd in the IAAF and Track and Field News rankings.
He was a professional athlete for 9 years with Nike and Mizuno as major sponsors at some point in his career. He was coached by Ken Harnden (formerly at Florida State & Georgia and now at University of Tennessee)
