John Davis has coached at Troy for over 26 years. He is one of the most successful coaches in Illinois history. His teams have won 5 IESA State Championships and 14 times finished in the top 3, His athletes have earned 67 All-State medals at the IESA State Meet. He directs the very prestigious, and largest middle school meet in Illinois, the Troy Invitational, which had 54 schools this year. John is an IESA and IHSA starter. ” In the Shorewood community, it is considered an honor to run for Coach Davis, He has a way of making running fun for the kids. His sense of humor is fitting for the age of boys and girls he coaches.”
