The 2020 A-Z Throws Clinic will be held on Sunday, January 26 at Wheaton North High School.
The clinic will feature hands-on instruction in shot put and discus technique and is meant for high school throwers of all abilities.
Coaches are also invited to register and attend as observers. The athletes will be put through drill progressions designed to build solid technique, and coaches who sign up are welcome to video those progressions for future use.
The clinic will be staffed by outstanding, highly experienced high school coaches who will instruct the kids in small groups.
Sessions will be offered in both glide and rotational shot put, and discus. The shot put sessions will feature drill work and actual throwing with an indoor shot. The discus sessions will focus on drill work and throwing with a discus ball.
The clinic schedule is as follows:
9:30-10:00 Check in (enter at door 7)
10:00-11:15 Session 1
11:30-12:45 Session 2
1:00-2:15 Session 3
The cost of the clinic is $65.00 for those paying in advance, and $75.00 for those paying at the door.
Each athlete and coach will receive an extremely stylish clinic t-shirt.
