CHRIS PARNO | Sprints / Hurdles / Relays
Chris Parno enters his sixth season with the Mavericks as an assistant for both the men and women’s track and field programs. Parno directly coaches the men and women's sprint/hurdle groups, while serving as the recruiting coordinator. Over his 5 years in Minnesota State’s program, Parno has coached;1 Olympian, 5 Division II National Champions, 68 NSIC Indoors and Outdoors Individual Sprint/Hurdle Conference Champions, 134 national provisional qualifiers, 38 First-Team NCAA All-Americans, 8 Second Team NCAA All-Americans and 7 Drake Relays Titles.
Parno is a 4-time USTFCCCA regional coach of the year and has completed the USATF Level 1, 2 and 3 certifications in the sprints & hurdles along with the Short Sprints and Hurdle Masters Endorsements and Strength and Conditioning Certification through the USTFCCCA (their highest certification). Parno earned bachelor's degrees in physical education and health education from The University of Minnesota - Duluth in 2010 and his master's degree in sports administration and leadership from Augustana University in 2012.
Parno resides in North Mankato, MN with his wife Sarah Parno.
