Coaching
Lauren DeAngelis enters her 10th year coaching cross country and 7th year coaching at York. Coach DeAngelis started coaching cross country and distance track at Lake Park High School in 2010. During her 3 years at Lake Park High School, she and her staff lead the 2012 3A Girls Cross Country team to a state runner-up finish. During her 3 years as head coach, she had 3 athletes achieve All State finishes (9th, 3rd, and 4th place).
As the assistant distance track coach at Lake Park High School from 2010 – 2013, the program had 3A distance state qualifiers in the 4X800m relay, 3200m, 800m, and 1600m events. During this time the program had state finalists in the 3200m event each year with a 3A 2012 state champion in the 3200m run.
Since coming to York High School Coach DeAngelis has worked to maintain the reputation of the Lady Dukes as being one of the premier cross country programs in the state qualifying each year for the 3A state meet. In 2016-2017 the program had one athlete earn all state honors.
