ITCCCA Announces 2018 George Dekan Scholarship Winners

ITCCCA is proud to announce the 2018 winners of the George Dekan Memorial Scholarship. The following Illinois student-athletes will be awarded a $1,000 scholarship.

Lauren Lynn Glick graduated from Southeastern Jr. / Sr. High School in Augusta, Illinois. She is an Illinois State Scholar and the Valedictorian of her graduating class. She will attend Lincoln Land Community College in the fall with plans to transfer to Oklahoma State University where she will study Pre-Veterinarian.

Lauren Katz graduated from Vernon Hills High School in Vernon Hills, Illinois. She is a 9-time All-State medalist in both Cross Country and Track and Field, as well as a member of the National Honor Society. She will attend the University of Illinois at Urbana / Champaign to study Elementary Education.

Daniel Kilrea graduated from Lyons Township High School in La Grange, Illinois. He is the 2017 Class 3A State Cross Country Champion and the Illinois Cross Country Gatorade Runner of the Year. He plans to attend the University of Notre Dame where he will study Business.

Samantha Mabry graduated from St. Joseph - Ogden High School in St. Joseph, Illinois. She is an Illinois State Scholar and a member of the National Honor Society. She will attend Eastern Illinois University where she will study English this coming fall.

Michael E. Ten Eyck ​graduated from Pittsfield High School in Pittsfield, Illinois. He is the Valedictorian of his graduating class, as well as President of the National Honor Society. He plans on attending Washington University in St. Louis where he will study Political Science and Economics and eventually enter Law School.
