The Wheaton North Track and Field Clinic is pleased to announce that Hinsdale Central’s Jim Westphal will be presenting on distance running. Under Jim’s tutelage, the Red Devils were 3A state cross country champions in 2013 and 2014.
He plans to talk about the aches and pains of building a program, of trying to maintain a competitive program, and of getting kids to commit to the physical and mental challenges of the sport.
Jim hopes that coaches who attend his sessions will walk away with an idea of how to create expectations, nurture progress, and build a culture that is unique to their program.
The Wheaton North clinic will take place on December 5th.
