Learn By Doing Clinic

In an effort to give back to the coaching community ITCCCA is going to pilot a clinic over two days where coaches can come watch master coaches coach athletes in their events. 


    Coaches clinic where you will get to see master coaches work with different levels and genders  hands on and go through film review and answer questions.
    • Sunday June 30, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
      • Triple Jump or Shot Put
    • Monday July 1, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
      • High Jump or Discus

    $10 Registration (Each Day) Includes Lunch

    Only 30 Spots Each Day

    Instructors:  Boo Schexnayder (Jumps) and Bob Nihells (Throws)

Boo Schexnayder

 Irving "Boo" Schexnayder is regarded internationally as one of the leading authorities in sports training design and biomechanics. He possesses 35 years of experience in the coaching and consulting fields. Noted for his years as a collegiate Track and Field coach, he produced individual 19 NCAA Champions and nearly 100 All-Americans. He was a part of 12 NCAA Championship teams and a pair of Juco National titles as well. Schexnayder has also been a prominent figure on the international scene, having coached 11 Olympians and multiple World Champions and Olympic Medalists.

Bob Nihells

Bob Nihells has been a coach at Lake Park for the last 35 years retiring this past spring.  In that time his throwers have rewritten every school record and own both the all‐time boys discus and boys shot put state records.  Coach Nihells has had fifteen top three finishes in the throws at the state meet in the last ten years.   Bob has been the head coach or an assistant on staffs that have won a combined 5 state championships as well as 2 runner up finishes.  Before coaching the throws he was the sprints coach where his athletes have owned 3 state meet records including one that still stands today.
