Steve Ideran, Oswego East | Beginning Triple Jump | NOTES
Steve Ideran is entering his ninth year as the girls’ horizontal jumps and hurdles coach at Oswego East High School.
In his 8 years of coaching, OE horizontal jumpers have won 6 SPC conference titles, had 18 All-Conference finishes, won 4 sectional titles, and have qualified for the IHSA State Meet 10 times including a runner-up finish in the Long Jump in 2015. His jumpers have also contributed to two SPC conference team titles, a 2016 sectional title and a 2016 IHSA 3rd Place State Trophy.
In addition to track and field, he has been the assistant girls’ cross country coach since 2014, was the boys’ varsity basketball assistant from 2011-2017, and currently coaches in the Strength and Speed program at OE.
